For the third straight year, Arktura was recognized by the building industry, bringing home an illustrious “Manufacturer’s Award” from this year’s CISCA Construction Excellence Awards. The Manufacturer’s Award is given to the project that received the highest scores from the judges for projects submitted by manufacturers. This recognition by CISCA (Ceilings and Interior Systems Construction Association) underscores our ongoing commitment to excellence within the industry.
These accolades were handed out at the annual CISCA Summit, held March 25-27, 2024, in Orlando, FL. This annual conference gathers the top minds and brands in the Architecture and Design industry, capped off with the CISCA Construction Excellence Awards.
Our work on a custom-designed project earned Arktura a top prize at this year’s honors. Arktura’s Solutions Studio® and HKS Architects created two tailored solutions for Textron Systems, installed by Casey Construction.
The ambitious project involved designing, manufacturing, and installing two distinct focal features at a grand scale: an expansive acoustic baffle system and a bespoke faceted wall panel system known as the “Geo Wall.”
Triangular panels were arranged in various formations to create a striking, sharp, geometric wall design. Hundreds of triangular panels required over 6,000 unique brackets, and framing components, all custom-manufactured for this project to create a visually immersive experience tying into the client’s brand identity.
Linear acoustic baffles, based on our Atmosphera® Analog 3D, complemented this heavy metal design in a Soft Sound® wood texture that added movement to the office space. These undulating baffles stretch across the office’s ceiling, bringing their employees a quiet and productive environment.
Finished in a biophilic wood texture in our proprietary acoustic material, this system pairs nicely with the stark grey of the wall panels. These two systems complement each other, creating a convergent point where the natural element of the brown wood tones meets the polished metal of the metal wall.
Arktura’s Solutions Studio® created an awe-inspiring, award-winning project showcasing our custom design and construction capabilities. The results from collaborative efforts between Arktura, our rep Nolan Brands, HKS Architects, installers Casey Construction, and Textron Systems create a visually remarkable structure that provides acoustic attenuation throughout this space.
