Arktura Canopies Featured as Irvine City News Highlights Orange County Great Park’s First Phase Grand Opening

A portion of Artura Solution Studio’s® contribution of new dynamic sports custom canopies for Orange County Great Park can currently be found pictured online and on the cover of Irvine City News, as it highlights the space in the lead-up to the grand opening of a 53-acre first phase of the development. Arktura, in collaboration with NBBJ Los Angeles and Plas-Tal, designed and fabricated the painted aluminum fins for the Championship Soccer Stadium pictured in the article. Arktura then went on to facilitate the complex installation of the 266 shade canopy members, with some fins spanning over 32’, all with multiple high tolerance points of connection. This stadium, to be unveiled with a free community concert in August, includes fixed seating for 2,500 fans, and can accommodate another 2,500 spectators along its adjacent stretches of grass. Work continues on several other canopies of similar scale for recreational and arts facilities across the expansive 688 acre parkland in Orange County, CA. Once the estimated $250 million project is completed, it promises to be one of the largest and most important urban parks in the country. Arktura is proud to play a major role in bringing it to reality.
