Tapestra™, our groundbreaking curved acoustic ceiling system, has been named a winner in the 2025 Architectural Record – Record Product of the Year competition in the Ceilings and Walls category. Architectural Record’s Product of the Year competition celebrates the best new building materials, components, and furnishings introduced to the North American market. Winners are selected by a jury of architects and design professionals and featured in the magazine’s December issue.

A Year of Accolades

The Architectural Record Product of the Year marks the third honor that this new acoustic system has received since its debut earlier this year. Tapestra™ was first unveiled to the public at this summer’s NeoCon show in Chicago, where it was awarded two “Best of NeoCon” awards for Innovation in Acoustic Solutions and the inaugural People’s Choice Award.

Tapestra™ reimagines the possibilities of acoustic solutions. At its core, the system combines the soft, organic appeal of woven textiles with the sculptural presence of curved architectural forms, creating acoustic landscapes that are both visually compelling and functionally impressive.

This collection offers four distinct acoustic systems made of our proprietary Soft Sound® acoustic material. The frames of these modules feature our standard 12mm Soft Sound® PET Felt composition, which holds in place the soft, curving lines of the 3mm Soft Sound® acoustic ribbons.

The name “Tapestra” pays homage to “tapestry,” reflecting the product’s layered complexity and artistic depth. Similar to a tapestry, Tapestra™ combines enhanced acoustic performance with dimensional depth, adding visual interest to traditionally flat and utilitarian ceiling spaces.
