Arktura’s Custom Acoustical Ceiling for Luxury Downtown Los Angeles Restaurant 71 Above Featured in The Architect’s Newspaper

The Arktura Solutions Studio^® custom acoustical ceiling for the Downtown LA restaurant 71 Above, a collaboration with the LA based architectural firm Tag Front, was recently featured in the November issue of The Architect’s Newspaper. The ceiling is one of two defining feature of the location – the other being its expansive view of Los Angeles, thanks to its panoramic windows, and its position near the top of the 1,018-foot US Bank Tower. The article (image below), which Tag Front and Arktura participated in, highlights the collaborative creative and technical process that occurred in conceiving and executing the custom design. This ceiling system is constructed out of Arktura’s acoustical Soft Sound^® material, which gives the ceiling high performance sound dampening properties, that allow the restaurant to retain a quiet elegance, even on its most busy nights.
