Arktura Featured in Metropolis Magazine: Conquering Custom

Arktura is honored to be the subject of a feature article in the May issue of Metropolis magazine, available on newsstands and online now. The article focuses on our Solutions Studio® division to showcase our history and expertise in custom fabrication, but it speaks to a core ethos that extends throughout our design and engineering of standard, ready-to-install products as well. “Custom was a scary word for manufacturers” when Arktura started out in 2008, notes our Director of Project Design and Development, Sebastian Muñoz. The article reveals how Arktura’s founders, Rob Kilian, Chris Kabatsi, and Kevin Kane (pictured above, left to right), three architects and former classmates at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, made a specialty out of complex projects through a combination of design talent and high-tech tools. Several key projects over the years—from LA to Azerbaijan—are highlighted, along with insights into our creative process, our problem-solving techniques, and our philosophy, summarized succinctly in our tagline—Fueling Possibilities®.
