Flora-Gato – Arktura Architects for Animals® Collaboration Featured Across the Web
Arktura is proud to have been a part of Architects for Animals’® 2017 Giving Shelter event benefiting FixNation, a non-profit organization operating the only free, full-time spay/neuter clinic in Los Angeles for homeless stray and feral cats. Our team collaborated with Formation Association & Terremoto Landscape to create “Flora-Gato,” a cat shelter that utilizes our sustainably sourced and fully recyclable Soft Sound® acoustical material as a water absorptive armature, housing Spanish moss and Korean grass. Its combined natural and synthetic design allows it to provide thermal mass, shade, and durability. The event was held on October 19, 2017 at Herman Miller’s showroom in Culver City.
