2025 was an extraordinary year for product innovation at Arktura. We expanded our portfolio with several major launches and enhancements that redefined what’s possible in architectural surfaces, acoustics, and lighting.
Extending our Vapor® system beyond interior walls and ceilings, we closed out the year with a bang, launching Vapor® Exterior. This system brings our distinctive aesthetic and performance standards to building facades and outdoor applications. Once offered only as a custom solution, this has been standardized for quicker orders and turnaround times.
The SoftSpan® Taper collection brings a new angle to acoustic ceiling design. With its tapered profile, this system, based on our trellis-like ceiling grid, brings dimensional depth and sophisticated sound management to commercial spaces.
Where acoustics meet brilliant illumination, SoftGrid® Light represents a breakthrough in integrated design. This product seamlessly combines superior acoustic performance with stunning visual aesthetics, proving that functional solutions can be beautifully executed. Now, a singular, integrated ceiling system can bring down the noise while brightening up a space.
Perhaps our most celebrated launch of the year, Tapestra™ introduced a revolutionary approach to curved acoustics. This woven 3mm acoustic system crafts harmonious landscapes within spaces, offering unprecedented design flexibility while delivering exceptional acoustic performance. Tapestra™ quickly became a favorite among architects and designers seeking to create statement pieces that perform as beautifully as they look.
We introduced a new level of spatial transformation with our new RGBW Lighting System, bringing dynamic color-changing capabilities to architectural environments. This innovative lighting solution is compatible with all of our metal panel systems, including Vapor®, Particle®, and Delta Drop®, allowing designers to create immersive experiences that adapt to mood, time of day, or specific programming needs, merging functionality with emotional impact.
We elevated our iconic Vapor® Collection with three stunning new patterns inspired by our recent collaboration with Overcast Innovations. These additions give designers even more creative freedom to craft impactful interiors with our signature perforated panel system, expanding the possibilities for visual interest and spatial definition. This collection pairs brilliantly with the modular Silhouettes from Overcast.
2025 marked a significant milestone as we opened our doors at NeoCon for the first time with a stunning new showroom space at The Mart in Chicago. Our showroom became the epicenter of innovation and imagination during this past summer’s show, highlighting how LA’s diverse artistic energy informs our groundbreaking acoustic systems, lighting, perforated panels, and breathtaking surfaces.
The space itself embodies our philosophy: the intersection of art, craftsmanship, technology, and engineering, where architectural possibilities are truly limitless. Visitors experienced firsthand how Arktura brings a rebellious spark to every project, challenging conventional design thinking. Stay tuned for what we have in store for next year’s show.
Our commitment to innovation didn’t go unnoticed. 2025 brought an impressive collection of industry accolades that validate our design philosophy and manufacturing excellence.
We swept NeoCon with three prestigious awards. Tapestra™ earned both the Innovation Award and People’s Choice Award, demonstrating both expert and popular recognition of its groundbreaking approach to acoustic design. Additionally, our RGBW Lighting System captured the Lighting category award, highlighting our ability to innovate across multiple product categories.
The impact of Tapestra™ extended beyond trade shows when it was named Record Product of the Year by Architectural Record, one of the industry’s most respected publications. This recognition from the AR confirms Tapestra™’s significance in advancing the built environment.
The West End Labs project earned us the CISCA Construction Excellence Award, celebrating outstanding achievement in ceiling and interior systems construction. This honor recognizes not just our products, but the successful collaboration and execution that brings design visions to life.
Our team partnered with the newly opened Mychal’s Cafe to improve the acoustics in this charitable coffee shop. We documented this transformation, and the video was selected as a Silver winner in the General-Accessibility category of this year’s Telly Awards.
The Telly Awards is a prestigious international competition founded in 1979 to honor excellence in video and television, recognizing outstanding work in commercials, digital video, series, branded content, and more, across all screens and platforms, from traditional TV to immersive VR and social media.
Our products found homes in some of the year’s most impressive architectural projects, demonstrating versatility across education, corporate, and athletic environments.
At Yale’s prestigious Wu Tsai Institute in New Haven, Connecticut, our Delta Drop® Custom and Vapor® Trail systems contributed to a research environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. Designed by SmithGroup, this project showcases how our solutions enhance spaces dedicated to advancing human knowledge.
In Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, we transformed the corporate headquarters for Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween with our Vapor® Cluster Dense system. Designed by Stantec and built by KHS&S Contractors, this project demonstrates how our products bring creativity and performance to corporate environments.
We helped Auburn University create an inspiring athletic facility with our Graphic Perf® Solutions and custom acoustic designs. This collaboration with GMC and HOK architects shows our ability to support high-performance environments where both athletes and design need to excel.
Understanding that experiencing our products firsthand is essential to the design process, we launched a completely reimagined Sample Store at www.samples.arktura.com. This improved platform makes it easier than ever for architects, designers, and specifiers to explore our extensive range of materials, finishes, and systems, bringing our innovations directly into their hands.
